I’m John – a local high school teacher, CFA volunteer firefighter, and your Labor Member of Parliament for Werribee.
I am a committed local who grew up in Werribee.
As a former school teacher, I saw firsthand the pressures affecting local families in Werribee. With your support, I can now work to help our whole community.
Labor is delivering the Ballan Road upgrade and have built hundreds of car parks at Werribee and Wyndham Vale stations. We have built seven new schools across Werribee and have removed three dangerous level crossings at Cherry Street, Old Geelong Road and Werribee Street. We've made major upgrades to the Werribee Mercy Hospital, but we know there is more to do - that's why Labor is building a better Emergency Department and have opened the free Medicare Urgent Care Clinic.
As a volunteer firefighter community safety is a priority for me. Labor has hired more police and built the Wyndham Police Complex in Werribee. We're also backing our paramedics by building a state-of-the-art new branch in Manor Lakes.
Cost of living relief like the $400 School Saving Bonus and Free Kinder is making a big difference for local families, and slashing stamp duty from off-the-plan apartments and townhouses will help more people like me get into our own home.
I know there is more work to do, that's why Labor has a real plan to build more houses, deliver better healthcare, and support families with cost-of-living help that make a real difference.
I am a life-long local who will fight for our community on the issues that matter most to us: cost of living, health, schools and our local roads.
I'll be a true local voice in Parliament for our community.
